City Network and op5 extend partnership – Swedish companies grow on international scene
City Network and op5 today announce expansion of their partnership for their joint cloud-based IT infrastructure offering on Swedish and international markets. Within the scope of the partnership, City Network will run op5Live – op5’s new system, application, and data center monitoring service – on City Network’s data centers in Sweden and worldwide. The companies are both Swedish; City Network is one of the fastest growing companies in cloud-based IT infrastructure (IaaS) and op5 is a leading provider of server monitoring solutions that help IT staff gain control and deliver more efficient IT services.
”For years, op5 has been a key component in our customer proposition,” says Johan Christenson, City Network CEO and founder. “Today, almost all enterprises depend on cloud services and thus expect applications and servers running in the cloud to perform as they should. This is where op5 enters the picture. The expanded partnership we’re announcing today is tied to City Cloud – our infrastructure offering that will provide more services that are based on op5’s platform.”
Via the new partnership, both companies will support each other in development, sales, and marketing. One example is a joint seminar that op5 and City Network were selected to hold (as the only Swedish representatives) at LinuxCon in Dublin on 5–7 October – Europe’s largest developer conference for open source. The partnership’s purpose is to jointly expand their respective businesses – nationally and internationally.
“City Network and op5 believe that cooperation and openness create value for our customers and for our companies,” says Andreas Månsson, digital marketing and web manager at op5. “So naturally, it feels great to be able to take our partnership to a new level. With City Network, we dynamically and flexibly ensure that more and more customers worldwide benefit from op5Live – our new monitoring service.”
The companies already have a partnership where City Network used op5’s monitoring service for servers, applications, and data centers as an integral part of City Cloud – City Network’s IaaS offering.
op5 offers server monitoring solutions that help IT staff gain control over their operations and deliver more effective IT services for better business. Whether operating in a small but business critical IT environment or fulfilling the needs of a large organization with distributed hardware, applications and services, the op5 products monitor anything and everything. op5 customers around the world benefit from fully-supported solutions that are open and easily implemented, yet scalable for future needs.
